Andy Rixon

Andy Rixon was born in the East Yorkshire seaside town of Bridlington in 1964. After leaving school
he became an artist in the computer games industry where he worked from 1981-2003. At
the age of 40 he became a mature student at The University of Chester studying a combined hons degree
in Fine Art and Photography. His interests lay in the combination of printmaking and photography where
he uses the theme of childhood memory as a source of inspiration. His contextual theories lay in the field
of psychology and the effect of time on memory, people and the world around us. Andy Rixon's
degree show was exhibited in the 'Departure' exhibition at the Novas CUC Northwest in Liverpool from Saturday 17th - Monday
